Giving Back
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. This year marked 14 years of TRREB Members contributing to the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation. TRREB has donated over $7 million to shelter-based charities, food banks, children’s breakfast programs and resources for people in need.

Helping Hand
On behalf of TRREB Members, we stood with fellow Canadians and donated $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for the British Columbia floods and extreme weather relief.
As the crisis in Ukraine evolves, we donated $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross towards humanitarian aid for those impacted.

Cathy Lawlor
Cathy Lawlor took part in a basketball tournament to raise money for Youth Speak – over $25,000 was raised.
Anastasia Orlando
Anastasia Orlando kick-started the opening of The Clothes Line, a local thrift store in Bradford. It is run by CONTACT Community Services, a charity for South Simcoe residents who are at risk of homelessness.
Rose Sorbera
Rose Sorbera also helped The Clothes Line come to life. Together, they help redirect unwanted clothing and small household items for free or at affordable prices, with 100% of the profits going towards CONTACT.
Don Patel
Don Patel conducted a park clean-up across the city of Brampton and provided lunch to healthcare workers at the Brampton Civic Hospital.
Amol Kapoor
Amol Kapoor raised $7,000 for the Kidney Foundation to help families, patients and caregivers navigating kidney disease.

Charlene Williams, a Member of the Diversity & Inclusion Task Force, played a large role in TRREB’s groundbreaking research to uncover barriers and discrimination in the industry.

Roman Havlin showed a strong commitment to our industry by serving on the Finance Committee and contributing to the efficient operations of TRREB.

Our volunteer network is stronger than ever, with over 10 ways to get involved. Three hundred and thirty Members make important contributions to a TRREB Committee, Roster or Task Force.

Supporting Future Generations
TRREB Members are committed to helping future generations, including students pursuing post-secondary education. Sixteen years ago TRREB introduced the Past President’s Scholarship Award, and since then, 58 deserving high school have received $222,000 in scholarship money.
2022 marked the addition of even more scholarships. The students who took part were tasked with writing an essay on generational wealth transfers or the pandemic’s ripple effects on housing.

Cultivating Change
TRREB’s Diversity & Inclusion Task Force is growing our initiatives to guide a better profession. Two Member workshops were held with the Diversity Institute, highlighting the need to create a more inclusive business and work environment.
Last fall, we shared the results of a groundbreaking survey. The findings were used in our efforts to break down barriers and foster a more diverse and inclusive culture.
